FAQ

WHAT BELT WILL FIT MY CAR?

Please refer to the Applications list in the menu above to identify a belt suitable for your vehicle.

This information is compiled to the best of our knowledge; the belt may not visually be a direct replacement and may require a qualified installer.

Securon is a manufacturer not an installer. If you need fitting advice, we recommend you contact a garage or marque specialist.

Once you have identified the suitable belt you will be able to source this from one of our distributors.

WHAT BELT WILL FIT MY WORK EQUPMENT/FARM VEHICLE?

Please refer to the menu above to identify the most suitable belt for your vehicle.

This information is compiled to the best of our knowledge; the belt may not visually be a direct replacement and may require a qualified installer.

Securon is a manufacturer not an installer. If you need advice on how to fit safety belts, we recommend you contact a garage qualified to offer such advice.

WHY DOES MY SEAT BELT LOCK UP/NOT RELEASE?

Emergency Locking belts contain an angle sensitive mechanism designed to lock in the event of an accident. The webbing can only be extracted when the retractor is at its design intended angle.

The majority of ‘No release’ enquiries are for belts which have not yet been fitted. Bolt it rigidly at its design intended position and refer to instructions on our website for advice on releasing a locked retractor mechanism. This is especially important on belts incorporating the angle adjustable retractor.

CAN I BUY JUST ONE HALF OF THE SAFETY BELT AND REPLACE?

Safety belts are homologated as complete assemblies therefore we do not sell buckles or retractors on their own. Changing one part only is not good practice as the system is only as good as the weakest link.

CAN YOU ADVISE ON HOW TO FIT SAFETY BELTS IN MY CAR?

Securon is a manufacturer not an installer. If you need advice on how to fit safety belts, we recommend you contact a garage or marque specialist qualified to offer such advice.

WHERE CAN I BUY YOUR SAFETY BELTS?

CAN I BUY A SAFETY BELT DIRECTLY FROM YOU?

We have a worldwide network of distributors. If you’re not able to locate a suitable supplier, please contact us and we will advise.

CAN I BUY NUTS/BOLTS/WEBBING FROM YOU?

Most of our belts have the installation components included in the box. If an additional part is required, we will supply this FOC on request via our website enquiries page.

We do not sell hardware or webbing.

WIRING GUIDE/ ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

Information on this is available on our website in the Fitting menu above.

SAFETY BELT FITTING INSTUCTIONS

Instructions for fitting Securon belts are available on our website or by using the QR code on the box.

DO YOU MAKE TO ORDER?

Securon do not make small volumes to order. For corporate customers Securon can design/homologate to meet specific standards/regulations for volume applications. Due to approval testing/costs this needs to be discussed with our engineering team.

MY SAFETY BELT ISN’T LONG ENOUGH

Securon manufacture an extender suitable for Securon seatbelts only. This plugs in between the existing buckle and tongue and offers extra length when required for an individual who could not otherwise wear a safety. It must always be removed/unplugged when not required so that the standard belt can provide optimum protection for other users.

For safety reasons the extender is only available with red webbing. This part number is 223 and is available from distributors.

ARE YOUR CAR SEAT BELTS HANDED

Securon car replacement belts are designed to fit both sides of the vehicle. Please check our Application list in the menu above.

CAN I BECOME A DISTRIBUTOR/STOCKIST?

We have stockists worldwide but inevitably some locations/product areas are not well covered. If you are interested in becoming a stockist, please bear in mind that the usual lead time is 10-15 working days and we do expect our stockists to hold our full range of belts so that we can confidently refer enquiries to them.

DO YOU MANUFACTURE HARNESSES FOR DOGS?

Securon do not manufacture restraints for animals as there are no recognised standards/regulations.

Securon seat belts are available from wholesalers and marque specialists around the world. If you cannot locate a source local to you please contact Securon on enquiries@securon.co.uk and we will advise you of the best option as soon as possible.
